past continuous and past perfect even.

past continuous.
1. A thief broke into our house last night while my sister and I were picnig up a pizza for dinner.
2. I was shopping with some friends yesterday , and I lost  my keys.
3. I was driving around with friends  all day on Sunday, and I ran out  of gas on the freeway.
4. I was tryias  to go and visit my parents last nigh when I got stuck in the elevator i their apartament building.
past perfect .

a) Luckily ,I had given a friends a copy of them, and  she come over  and let me into  my apartament.
b) It had reached the fifth floor when it stopped. After I had been struck for an hour, someone started it again.
c)I guess we had left the door unlocked because that´s how the thief got into the house.
d)Luckily, I had brought my cell phone with me, so I called my brother for help
